River Stages

Here’s the area river stages as of this morning:  Little Wabash River east of Fairfield is at 4.28 feet.  Flood stage is 17 feet.  At Clay City the river is at 3.73 feet.  Flood stage is 18 feet.  At Carmi the river is at 3.02 feet.  Flood stage is 27 feet.  The Skillet Fork at Wayne City is at 4.93 feet.  Flood stage is 15 feet.  The Wabash River at Mt. Carmel is at 2.54 feet.  Flood stage is 19 feet.  Bonpas Creek at Browns is at 1.34 feet as of this morning.

The current forecast indicates dry weather continuing well into next week.  Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Paducah, KY are indicating the possibility of a more unsettled weather pattern, with more rain chances toward the end of next week.  Warm weather is expected to continue well into next week, as well.
