The Fairfield Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department conducted registered sex offender compliance checks this week. Officers and Deputies physically located offenders to ensure each was in compliance. During the checks, 2 subjects were found in violation of the registration requirements. Fairfield Police arrested Jesse O. Hedden, 57 of Fairfield. Hedden was not living at the address provided to authorities. Wayne County Deputies arrested James A. Chambers, 39 of Sims. Chambers failed to update his employment and contact information with authorities.
The Fairfield Police Department assisted the Wayne County Probation Office on Wednesday. resulting in several arrests for possession of methamphetamine. At a residence in the 800 block of George Street, Julee A. Bailey, 25 of Fairfield, Bobby W. Cottrill, 46 of Fairfield and Ronald D. Stark, 34 of Fairfield were arrested for possession. Michael T. Thomason, 45 of Fairfield was also located at the residence. Thomason had a Petition to Revoke Probation on a Methamphetamine charge from Wayne County. At a residence in the 200 block of Johnson Street, Amber M. Webb, 34 of Fairfield was arrested for possession. At a residence in the 300 block of Broadway, Shelly M. Best, 47 of Fairfield was arrested for possession. All were lodged in the Wayne County Jail pending a pre-trial release hearing.
