The Olney Fire Department in conjunction with the Noble-Wakefield FPD, Claremont-Bonpas FPD, and Christy FPD is announcing a burn ban effective for Richland County until Further Notice. It prohibits burn barrels, campfires and other recreational fires, unless they are in a fire ring. Charcoal should not be removed from grills until it has been thoroughly extinguished. The ban also prohibits the use of fireworks. This ban includes the City of Olney, Village of Noble, Village of Claremont, Village of Calhoun, and the Village of Parkersburg.
