The Wayne County E911 Center, which is answered by Fairfield Police Department telecommunicators, has released information for calls taken during the 2023 calendar year.
According to officials at the center, they answered 22,915 calls. Of those calls, 5,370 were Enhanced 9-1-1 calls, 6,335 were Administrative 9-1-1 calls, and 11,210 were for Police line calls. Dispatchers received 27 text to 9-1-1 calls during 2023.
Telecommunicators processed 12,060 calls for service, Of those, 7,999 were for law enforcement calls, 2,272 were for emergency medical service calls, 1,262 were for fire service calls, 106 were for other emergency services, and 421 miscellaneous calls.
