Weatherwise, today will be the best day fro a few days. Tonight, a weather system bringing heavy rain and potential snowfall will start to come into the region. Beginning tomorrow morning, a Wind Advisory will go into effect for Jefferson, Wayne, Edwards, Wabash, White, Hamilton, Gallatin, Franklin, and Saline Counties until Midnight heading into Saturday. Weather service officials say wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour are expected. Weather service officials are not ruling out a potential for snowfall in the area north of Interstate 64 for the system in the area thru tomorrow night.
Next week, weather service officials are forecasting a Winter Storm in the early portion of the week. While officials are not certain about the amount of precipitation quite yet, they are confident in the extremely cold temperatures that will be coming to the area.
