Several meetings are on tap for Monday.
Edwards County Commissioners are set to meet at 9 this morning at the Edward County Courthouse. In the agenda, the commissioners will enter into agreements for work on bridges over Village Creek and Indian Creek. The commissioners will also hear their report from Sheriff Boewe, EMS, Landfill, the treasurer, and an update involving the Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission.Paid Leave for All Workers Act, as well as a resolution for the sale of tax delinquent properties also are on the agenda.
The Flora City Council meets at 4:30 this afternoon at Flora City Hall. In the agenda, the council will look into a resolution involving the Flora volunteer fire department, an update on grants for various projects, approval of a grant from the state of Illinois from the department of commerce and economic opportunity for $1.5 million, and ordinance approving a contract for pavement work from Howell Paving for the north Main Street project for just under $940,000, authorization of a revolving loan with Clayton Irvin for $250,000, an ordinance involving a change order with Luttrell Backhoe, a project with a cost increase of $1611.50, and an ordinance involving the accepting bids for surplus property.
The Albion Parks District meets this evening at 6 at Albion City Hall. The district will hear updates on the pickleball courts, playground equipment, and restroom renovations. Under new business, the district will look into cutting down dead trees, placing benches around the pond, and making a decision on mowing.
The Fairfield Community High School Board will meet at 6 in the study hall at FCHS. The council will look into setting the date for graduation, and potentially take action on hiring a principal and social science teacher. There will also be a closed session during the meeting.
At 7, the Albion City Council will meet at Albion City Hall.
Wayne City Village Board also meets at 7 at Wayne City Village Hall.
The Village of Browns will hold a village hall meeting at 7 this evening. The main topic in the agenda of Browns is the allowance of chickens to be raised in the village.
