The latest financial report for the city of Fairfield showed progress in trying to get into the black, but overall, the budget remains red.
In the report, the city showed a profit of $224,849.33. The Airport, Waste Water, Gas, and Electric lines were the main profit areas outside of administration.
For the year, the city shows a shortfall of $101,001.
