The National Weather Service at Paducah has released data on a confirmed tornado touchdown in Eastern Wayne County.
According to the weather service, the tornado touched down at 8:11 PM and was on the ground for roughly 4 minutes between Golden Gate and Mount Erie. The tornado was rated at N EF-1 with maximum winds estimated at 90 MPH. The tornado path was 2.8 miles long.
No injuries or fatalities were reported with the tornado. In the damage report from the National Weather Service, several pine trees were snapped along the tornado track. One home had roof damaged. An anchored mobile home was lifted up and leaned over, but not completely overturned. That mobile home however did sustain major damage. That mobile home is currently inhabitable. Another home in that area also sustained major damage. Reports also state an old television tower was toppled over.
