Flora City Council is set to meet this afternoon at 4:30 at City Hall.
Under public comments, the council will hear from Clay County Cruisers Inc. The cruisers will make a request to use Charley Brown Park on July 20, 2024 with Rain Date of July 27, 2024 for their 20th annual Car & Truck Show. Also under public comments, the board will hear from Roy Smith and the Be the One Walk on May 11th.
On the consent agenda, the board will look to approve Flora Elementary School to use Charley Brown Park for an Accelerated Reading Party on May 10th with a Rain Date of May 16th.
Under routine business, the council will look into an ordinance involving power sales and capacity agreement with the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency for the delivery period ending in October of 2035, get and update on grants with Milano and Grunloh, approve an amendment to the led service line inventory grant, approve increased camping rates for Charley Brown Park for the Eclipse Weekend for $75 per night from April 5th thru April 8th as well as parking for that period for $30 per spot, hear an update on surplus property bids, approve the pay rate for pool employees, approve a bid for a new tractor for the parks department, the re-zoning of property owner by the estate of Margaret M. Etchison that is being purchased by EJ Lewis Properties LLC to C-2 Commercial, make employment transfers for Dakota Woods from meter reader to gas department 1st year apprentice, Jarrad Hildebrand from Street Department Laborer to Meter Reader, Steve Rose from Gas Department Journeyman to Street Department Operator, and Jesse Campos from Parks Department Laborer to Street Department Laborer.
