A Mt. Vernon resident, 48-year-old-Stephen Matthew Warren was apprehended on charges related to firearms and drugs following the execution of a search warrant by the Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office joint Narcotics Division at a residence in the 1200 block of South 27th Street on Thursday afternoon.
Warren was taken into custody during the operation. The search yielded the discovery and seizure of 15 firearms, ammunition, various quantities of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia as evidence.
Warren was placed in the Jefferson County Jail on charges of Aggravated Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (5-15 grams) and Possession of Firearms with a revoked FOID.
