A former resident of Fairfield is set to take the stage again at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Josh Garner, a talented member of the Chuck Wagon Gang, will showcase his musical talents alongside his group this Sunday evening, July 7th at 7pm.  Garner is a 1997 graduate of Fairfield Community High School and he and his family currently live in Chuckey, Tennessee which is in NE Tennessee.  This is not Garners’ first performance at the Grand Ole Opry, he performed on two different occasions between 2002 and 2005 when he was a member of The Florida Boys for eight years before the group retired.  Garner then joined The Dixie Melody Boys touring with them for eight years before they retired and then joining his current group, The Chuck Wagon Gang.

The Chuck Wagon Gang holds a rich history of performances at the Opry, stretching all the way back to the 1950s. Notably, Josh’s mother, Marti Garner, is a resident of Fairfield and works at the Victorian located on West Main Street.
