Wilburn D. “Wib” Vaughan, 88 of Fairfield

Wilburn D. “Wib” Vaughan, 88 of Fairfield went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at 12:06 AM, Friday, November 10, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  Born on June 9, 1935, in Mill Shoals to Wilburn and Opal (Venters) Vaughan, he had been a truck driver.  Wib was known for his love of family, the St. Louis Cardinals, mowing, and taking care of others.

Wib is survived by a daughter Angela Tucker of Fairfield, daughter in laws Dian Vaughan and Karolee Vaughan of Fairfield, 6 grandchildren- Robbie (Callie) Vaughan, Sara (Jay) Schnepper, Brian (Summer) Vaughan, Eric Vaughan, Alissa (Stephen) Kiely, and Ashlea (Eli) Devoy, 14 great grandchildren- Kenley Devoy, Kade Devoy, Abbi (Logan) McGuire, Creson White, Karson White, Wyatt Vaughan, Austin Vaughan, Gabe Matthews, Paisley Vaughan, Landry Vaughan, Abi Vaughan, Hayden Vaughan, Emma Kiely, and Leah Kiely, great great grandchild Judah McGuire, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Ruth Vaughan, his parents, sons Robert Vaughan and David Vaughan, brother Edsel Vaughan, and sisters Dorothy Reed, Kay Withrow, and Marie Warren.

Funeral services for Wib Vaughan will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, November 15th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11 AM Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials in his honor may be made to the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church for their Secret Santa program.
