FCHS TO HOST ANNUAL VETERANS DAY PROGRAM FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH

Fairfield Community High School will hold its annual Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 7, at 10 a.m. in the East Gym.
The FCHS Band will perform patriotic selections, and the Show Choir will sing The Star-Spangled Banner. Members of the VFW will present the colors, and FCHS students planning to enlist in the military after graduation, along with their parents, will be recognized.
Guest speakers for the event include Sergeant First Class Phillip R. Bishop Jr. and Staff Sergeant Plumlee, both from the Mount Vernon Recruiting Station. The ceremony will conclude with the playing of Taps and the retiring of the colors.
The program is open to the public, and attendees are asked to enter through the gym lobby doors. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and all are invited to join in honoring local veterans and future servicemembers.
