City Council Preview

The next regular meeting of the Fairfield City Council is set for this Tuesday night starting at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.

Items appearing on the official agenda include resolutions to close streets in the city for the upcoming Veteran’s Parade on Saturday, November 9th, as  well as the Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7th.  Other items include the opening of bids for the demoltion of properties, and a resolution to award a bid, an ordinance to add terms to a Redevelopment Agreement requiring the Hiring of State Licensed Electricians, Plumbers, and Roofers, and an ordinance for increasing the fees for Zoning and Annexations.  The council is also expected to deal with an ordinance implementing a Municipal Grocery Retailer’s Occupation Tax & Grocery Service Occupation Tax, and a resolution for a Library Board Appointment.

The council is also expected to set the dates for Trick or Treating in the city at Tuesday night’s meeting.
