Homecoming festivities wrapped up Saturday for Fairfield Community High School. The parade was held Friday in downtown Fairfield with the winners from the parade announced. 1st place went to the entry from the FFA, 2nd place won by the Sophomore Class and 3rd place went to the Junior Class. Saturday, the Mules won their homecoming football game with a 20 to 6 victory over Flora and at halftime, the Homecoming King & Queen were announced. The King is Jayze Bube and Queen is Ciara Turner. Just before the game, fans were able to celebrate the 30 year reunion of the 1994 Mules Football team which were the NEC Champs that year and qualified for the playoffs, finishing 9-2 overall. Current Coach Justin Townsend was a member of that team, and the Head Coach was Bob Hadfield, who returned for the reunion along with several of his former players from that 1994 team. Saturday night at the Fairfield Elks, the FCHS Alumni Dinner was held with a large crowd in attendance to hear the keynote speakers, Brian Foster from the Class of 1990 and Sue Ann Aman from the Class of 1974.
