Lester V. Piercy, 95 of Ellery died November 28 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. A veteran of WW II, he farmed most of his life. He was a member of the Ellery Christian Church, a Lifetime Mason of the Hermitage Masonic Lodge # 356 in Albion, VFW of Albion and the Wayne County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include three sons and their wives: Dr. Steve (Jan) Piercy of Ft. Dodge, IA; James (Dawn) Piercy of Ellery, IL; Noel (Rev. Barb) Piercy of Verona, N. J.; 7 grandchildren: Amy (Jimmy) Neighbors, Katy (Rick) Ekstrom, Jesse (Adrien) Piercy, Lucy Piercy, Ryan Piercy, Joelle Piercy (husband Dennis Boyle), Adriana Piercy, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Lester V. Piercy will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Bethel cemetery in Ellery with full military rites.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.
