88-year-old Fairfield resident, Wayne O. Bone, died at 3:55am, Thursday, February 16, at Way-fair Nursing Home in Fairfield. He had worked at Lincoln Auto Supply and Toys Auto in Fairfield. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served as a radio operator and was on the plane that escorted President Truman to Wake Island in 1951
He was survived by one son, Gary (Donna) Bone of Gentryville, Indiana, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren
Services for Wayne Bone will be at 1pm, Monday, February 20 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Koontz Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be held from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of all of the arrangements.
