Jan H. Rountree – McLeansboro

83-year-old McLeansboro resident, Jan H. Rountree died on Monday, March 12 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  A U.S. Army Veteran, he was a farmer.  He was a member of the Broughton Methodist Church and attended the Dale Methodist Church since his childhood until its closing and then transferred his membership to Broughton.

Survivors include a son, Glen Rountree and wife Becky of McLeansboro; a daughter, Mary Rountree of Eldorado; grandchildren, Leslie Danage and husband Trae of Peoria, Wade Maulding and wife Jennifer of McLeansboro and Lynn Braden and husband Curt of McLeansboro; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Braden, Hayden and Lane Maulding, Britton, Amira and Kahlel Danage; several nieces and nephews and two grand-dogs, Henry and Max.

Graveside services for Jan H. Rountree will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15 at Digby Cemetery at Dale.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, March 14th at  the Harre Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Wabash Christian Village of Carmi and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of all of the arrangements. Donations will also be accepted at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.
