81 year-old Cecil “Fred” Shelton of Fairfield, formerly of Cisne, died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.
He married ViEva Walker on December 9, 1967, in Keenes and she survives. Fred had been a truck driver for Wabash Valley Service Company. He was a member of the Cisne Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife ViEva of Fairfield, IL; two daughters, Jeri (Silas) Eckleberry of Fairfield and Caren Smothers of Mt. Zion, IL; three sons, Jim (Lesley) Shelton of Evansville, Indiana, Cecil (Tara) Shelton of Flora and Fred (Jacque) Shelton of Geff; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Cisne Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Memorials may be made to the Cisne Fire Department or Cisne FFA and will be accepted at the funeral home.
