95-year-old Fairfield resident, Cecile F. Pappas died at 12:52 Monday morning, Jan. 25 at her home. She had worked at Murphy’s & Company, the Index Dime Store and she had worked at Kincaid’s for 22 ½ years in the housewares department. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 64 years.
Survivors include two sons, Danny (Judi) Pappas of Fairfield and Bill (Elaine) Pappas of Markleville, IN; a daughter, LaVon “Teddi” (Jerry) Peterson of Clearwater, FL; two sisters, Virginia Hutchinson of Pembroke, GA and Joan Olson of Bradenton, FL; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Cecile F. Pappas will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 28 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Koontz Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 Wednesday evening, Jan. 27 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home or SSM Hospice and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
