Carolyn Kay Sloan

sloan78-year-old McLeansboro resident, Carolyn K. Sloan died at 12:25 p.m. Monday, February 1 at Good Samaritan Regional Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Randy Sloan and wife Sharree of McLeansboro; a daughter, Michele Cross and husband Ed of Silver Lake, KS; a brother, Robert “Bob” Scott of McLeansboro; three sisters, Martha Pingleton and husband Cloyd of Raleigh, IL, Lela McLevain of Henderson, KY and Karen Sue Jerashen of O’Fallon, IL; a brother-in-law, William H. “Fuss” Gray, Sr. of Dale, IL; three sisters-in-law, Winnie Scott of Martinsville, IN, Delores Sloan-Wolfe and husband Don of Jackson, MI and Clara Etta Sloan of Spring Arbor, MI; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Carolyn Kay Sloan will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Christian Chapel Congregational Christian Church in McLeansboro with burial in Hebron Cemetery at Walpole.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 Wednesday evening, Feb. 3 at the church. The church will also be open from 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 until the time of service.

The Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
