Georgia Mae Wake, 96, of Crossville, Illinois, died Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. A homemaker, she was a long-time active member (since 1951) of the Crossville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter Alice Jeanette Wake of Crossville; sons Travis C. (Peggy) Wake of Centerville, Indiana, Dennis Lee (Deborah) Wake of Northwood, New Hampshire; daughter-in-law Sandra Byford Wake of Huntsville, Alabama; sister Reba Faye Clark of Carmi, Illinois; grandchildren Matthew Byford Wake, Shelley Renae (Chris) Newman, Amanda Kathleen (Jason) Buck, Travis Scott (Jill) Wake, Nathan Alexander Wake, Krystin Renae (Isaiah) Coble, Tara Dawn (Pollini) Reed; eight great grandchildren; special nephew Granville Lee (Carolyn) Wake; special niece Carolyn Ruth (Don) Seitz.
Funeral services for Georgia Mae Wake will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi with burial in Stokes Chapel Cemetery near Crossville.
Visitation is 6-8 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.
Memorials may be made to the Crossville Missionary Baptist Church and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi.
