Lyndell B. Brown, 90, of Carmi, Illinois, died on her birthday, Monday, March 21, 2016, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi. She was a farm wife, a 4-H Leader, and a reading volunteer for the Carmi Schools. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Carmi.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence R. Brown; sons Richard (Maricar) Brown, David (Sara) Brown, all of Carmi; daughter Carolyn (Jeff) Hodge of Paris, Illinois; brothers Keith (Anna May) McArthy, Lowell (Sue) McArthy, all of Norris City, Illinois; sister Evelyth (Bill) Wright of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren Logan (Jared) Anderson, Ann (Eugene) Sisneros, Cole (Tara) Hodge, Robin (Joe) Kingery, Claire Brown, Alexander Brown, Raven Brown; great grandchildren Layla Sisneros, Ethan Hodge, Bryce Hodge, Harper Anderson, Andie Anderson.
Funeral services for Lyndell B. Brown will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at the Cook Chapel in Carmi with burial in Kuykendall Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 Friday evening, March 25 at the Cook Chapel in Carmi.
Memorials may be made to either the First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel.
