Rebecca Campbell Hott, 62 of Carmi, passed away Sunday morning October 16, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital after a long illness. She was born March 8, 1954 in Carmi. She married Ricky Birkheimer in 1980 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She later married Vernon, “Chuck” Hott in 2005.
She was raised in Springerton and was a member of the Springerton Chrisitian Church. She attended grade school in Springerton and Enfield High School. She graduated from John A. Logan College with a degree in Human Services.
She is survived by her husband Chuck; her mother and step-father, Maxine and Lawrence Winter of Springerton; her son, Mark Malone of Springerton and a grandson, Mitchell Malone of Fairfield; step-mother, Louise Campbell, half-brother, Sean Campbell; her aunt, Margie Woodrow plus nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace; a half-brother, Chris Campbell; her grandparents, George and Daisy Doshier and Melvin and Mae Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with burial in Little Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
