75-year-old Fairfield resident, Raymond Edward Straube, Sr. died at 4:30pm, Sunday, October 30, at his home. He had been a lab technician for Borg Warner for 35 years before his retirement. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Alice (Brown) Straube; three sons Raymond E. Straube, Jr of Chicago, IL, Michael Frazier and David (Misty) Straube both of Fairfield, two daughters Angela (David) Dresser of Wheaton, IL, and Schannon (James) Altizer of Fairfield, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one brother Ronald Straube of Chicago, IL.
Raymond Straube’s body is being cremated with a celebration of life service being held in Chicago, at a later date. His ashes will also be interred at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of all of the arrangements.
