Richard “Rick” Doyle Vaughn, Jr. – Los Angeles

Richard-VaughnRichard “Rick” Doyle Vaughn Jr., age 45, of Los Angeles, California, died Wednesday, October 26 in Los Angeles as the result of an accident.  He dabbled with playing musical instruments and learned how to record things, as well as doing much photography and then later on to live stream when he settled in L.A. Rick was very active in social media, introducing family and friends into the early stages of Facebook and tagging many of us in his posts of interests.  He once had a goal of having 1,000 friends but superseded it to over 2,000.  He set up a news page that automatically updates, even to this day.

He had a great appreciation for Asian Cuisine, traveled this country and several other, such as Saipan, the Philippines, China and North Korea.

Rick is survived by his mother: Brenda Lane-Farrey; step-father: Brian Farrey; sister: Ramona Loman; half-sisters: Brooke Buffington, Heather Hogan, and Laurel Dingman; half-brother: David Farrey; aunts and uncles: Sally and Ed Baker, Linda and Charles Kinkaid, Alan and Loretta Farrey, and Carol Farrey-Jacobson; cousins: Paulita O’Connor, Brianne Lane, Vanessa Anderson, Amanda Lane, Alan Ksiazkiewicz, Annie & Trina Farrey, Kelly Jacobson-Crowe, and Lee Jacobson; her foster family: Vic and Katherine, Joel, Russell, and Kat Williams; nieces and nephews: Michael and Molly Loman; and his girlfriend: Lida Parent.

A Celebration of Life service for Rick will be 1 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora with burial to follow in Bunker Cemetery, Rinard.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.  Donations in Rick’s memory may be directed to his mother, Brenda Farrey, for the Rick Vaughn Memorial Fund and these will be accepted at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
