Norman Joseph Kirsch – McLeansboro

kirsch88-year-old McLeansboro resident, Norman Joseph Kirsch died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at McLeansboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  He had been a railroad car builder, oilfield worker, truck driver for Petrolane, a set up technician in curing for General Tire and had been a farmer.  A veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro and was a member of the St. Isadore Council of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Floann Kirsch of McLeansboro; a daughter, Lori Smith and husband Eric of Springfield, Ill.; three sons, Ron Kirsch and wife Terrea  of Mt. Vernon, Ill, Alan Kirsch and wife Denise of McLeansboro and Kevin Kirsch and wife Tricia of Loami, Ill.; 8 grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Gary Scharf of Golden Eagle, Ill.

Funeral services for Norman Joseph Kirsch will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro with burial in St. Clements Cemetery at McLeansboro.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 Friday evening, Dec. 9 at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Clement s Catholic Cemetery in McLeansboro and will be accepted at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
