84-year-old Cisne resident, William Robert “Bob” Gill died at 6:34am Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. Bob was a farmer and Road Commissioner for Zif Township and a member of Zif Baptist Church. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara J. Gill of Cisne, IL; one daughter Sandra J. (Troy) Thomas of Flora, IL; one son Randall L. (Diane) Gill of Clay City, IL; one sister Barbara Slavens of Mattoon, IL and four grandchildren Zach Thomas and fiance’ Jessica and her son Sean of Gilbertsville, KY; Kaylee Gill and Baylee Gill both of Clay City, IL and Brenden Thomas of Murray, KY. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Bob Gill will be 1PM Thursday, December 29 at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with buria in Zif Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service on Thursday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zif Cemetery Fund or Zif Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
