Ruby Marie Matthews, 90 of Fairfield died at 6:38 AM, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Parkway Manor in Marion, IL. She was an LPN and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include her son David (Marilyn) Matthews of Herrin, IL, daughters Nancy (Ron) McGill of Fairfield and Carole Matthews of Fairfield, 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a sister Margaret (Jim) West of Mattoon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Matthews, son Dennis, grandson Scottie, brothers Robert and Leland Lane, and sister Marion Matthews.
Funeral services for Ruby Marie Matthews will be held at 1 PM, Friday, March 3 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Bunker Cemetery near Rinard.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials in her honor may be made to the First Baptist Church.
