33 year-old Matthew Robert Waters of Fairfield died at 8:26 a.m. on Thursday April 6, in Pine Bluff Arkansas. He had been a farmer and was a truck driver for Knapp Oil Company. Matt was a member of Lebanon North CP church as well as members of the City of Fairfield Fire Department and the Bone Gap Volunteer Fire Protection District.
Matt is survived by his wife Heather Waters of Fairfield. A son, Clayton Merrick and daughter Molly Waters both of Fairfield. Parents: Robert and Alicia Waters of Albion. Sister: Heather (Jeff) Duncan of Albion, Grandfather: Charles R. Waters of Albion. In-Laws: Joey and Kristen Davis of Fairfield, David and Sherry Smith of Poseyville, Indiana. Two special “sidekicks”- Chris “Rock” Hodgson and Arron Perry. His faithful dog, Bandit. Several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters in-law also survive.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Matt Waters Memorial Fund and will be accepted at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home or Fairfield Banking Company.
