55-year-old Grayville resident, Elizabeth Ann (Gawthorp) Burns died on Sunday, June 18. She was a hair stylist and of the Christian faith.
Surviving are her husband, Mark of Grayville; her son, Justin (Tiffany) Gawthorp of Albion; four grandchildren, Dmitri, Temperance, Gracen and Amadeus Gawthorp all of Albion; two brothers, Randall (Dawn) Gawthorp of West Salem and Bert (Summer) Gawthorp, Jr. of Oak Ridge, TN; two sisters, Sandra Wilson of Wayne City and Kelly Drum of Albion; a step-brother, Vernon (Belinda) Higginson of Mt. Carmel; a step-sister, Theresa (Ted) Fisk of Grayville; her second mother who helped raise her, LaVerne Johnson of Mt. Carmel; along with 24 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Elizabeth A. “Beth” Burns, 55 of Grayville will be on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
Funeral services will be on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Samsville with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Samsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Beth’s memory to Riley Children’s Foundation, 30 S. Meridian St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204 and will be accepted at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi which is in charge of arrangements.
