Wilma Ruth Smith Bassett, age 86 of Albion died on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville, IL. She was a member of the Olive Congregational Church and also worshipped for many years at the First Baptist Church of Albion, where she was active in the Senior Adult Group. She worked at Rest Haven Manor for many years and finished her working career at Champion Lab.
Survivors include two sons, Steve (Cathy) Smith of Albion, and Tom (Becky) Smith of West Salem, IL, one step daughter, Brenda York of Omaha, IL, 7 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 9AM to 10AM at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10AM, with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery, Albion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry Fund.
Visitation and Funeral guests are asked to please dress casually.
