Henry C. (Bud) Garner – Carmi

85-year-old rural Carmi resident, Henry C. (Bud) Garner died on July 4.    Upon graduation from Crossville Community High School in 1950, Bud joined the Army serving with the 516the Signal Core in Austria and later the U.S./ Army Reserve. He farmed near Garnerville.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joan; sons Mark (Beverly) Garner of St. Louis, MO, Owen Garner of rural Carmi and Damon Garner of Champaign, IL as well as two grandchildren Morgan and Aaron Garner.  He is also survived by three sisters Ella Mae Clark of Texas City, Juanita McCorkle of Browns, and Betty Stabler of Lakeland, FL.

Funeral services for Bud Garner will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s memory to Crossville United Methodist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
