Norma Jean Cannon, 72, of Fairfield, died at 1:55pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Hamilton County Hospital in McLeansboro, IL. She had been a nurse aide at Fairfield Memorial Hospital and had also been a cook at the Sims and Jasper schools until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband Darrell of Fairfield, one son Jimmy (Alesia) Boyd of Corydon, Kentucky, two daughters Carla (Chris) Bartley of Fairfield and Lisa (Mickey) Rueff of Wayne City, three step-sons Tom (Tracy) Cannon of Boyleston, Bobby (Halley) Cannon of Mt. Erie, and Joe (Tara) Cannon of Cisne, two step-daughters Stacy (Ryan) Austin of Wayne City, Tricia (Jim) Shehorn of Saucier, Mississippi, 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Norma Jean Cannon will be at 11am on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, April 24th at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials can be made to the Wabash Christian Village in Carmi and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
