Lyman Gene Armes, McLeansboro

67-year-old Lyman Gene Armes passed away on July 24.  Gene was a 32nd degree Mason, Chester Lodge #72, since 1972. He enjoyed genealogy and belonged to the Frankfort Area Genealogical Society, West Frankfort, and the Illinois Sons of the American Revolution, Belleville Chapter.

Gene will forever be lovingly remembered by his daughters Alison (Adam) Karp and Emily Roesler, and his beloved grandsons Harvey, Edward, and Charlie. Gene will also be forever remembered by his brother Glenn (Ruth) Armes, and sisters, Nancy Carole Featherly, Darlene Gentsch, and Mary Gayle Jany, and his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

A Funeral Service in memory of Gene will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 2 p.m., with visitation at 1 p.m., at the Pechacek-McCLure Funeral Home, 839 Lehman Drive, Chester.

A Celebration of Gene’s life will follow at 4 p.m. at the American Legion, 500 Opdyke Street, Chester.

Private Interment will be at IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved parents. Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro is assisting the family with all arrangements.
