Paul G. Orr – Albion

82-year-old rural Albion resident, Paul G. Orr, died Tuesday, September 25.  He was a member of the Albion Church of Christ and the West Village Christian Church.  He had a variety of interests that included raising, shearing, and showing sheep, and was an avid outdoorsman who thoroughly loved to hunt deer, coon and turkeys. He also enjoyed drowning worms at the pond.  He was also a member of the NWTF for many years and was instrumental in bringing wild turkeys to Edwards County.  Paul enjoyed singing and yodeling.  He was also artistic, inventive and creative and loved to paint.  He was active and played Legion Baseball and continued playing for several years afterward in the area.  Paul was an Illinois State Policeman for over 22 years.

Surviving are his wife of over 60 years, Margie; one daughter, Terri (Chuck) Hilgeman; one son, Tim (Nicky) Orr; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty (Archie) Green and Nieta (George) Fewkes.

Visitation for Paul G. Orr will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ingram-Meredith Funeral Home in Albion.  A Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held on Wednesday, October 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Senior Citizens.
