Lowell R. Tullis – Fairfield

Lowell R. Tullis, 74 of Fairfield, died at 12:40 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home.  Born on July 7, 1944 to Willard and Wanda (Large) Tullis, he married Sherrye Warren on October 10, 1965.  Lowell graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College, worked at Caterpillar for 17 years as a welder and foreman, then owned and operated Tullis Welding in Fairfield for many years.  He was also a member of the First Christian Church, a Mason for over 50 years, and a Shriner.

Lowell is survived by his mother Wanda Tullis of Louisville, KY, wife Sherrye Tullis of Fairfield, son James Tullis of Bowling Green, KY, daughter Angie (Fred) O’Neal of Louisville, KY, grandchildren Charlie and Paige O’Neal,  brother James (Jacque) Tullis of Zurich, KS, and a sister Carolyn (Dan) Zoeller of Louisville, KY.

Funeral services for Lowell Tullis will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, January 9 at the First Christian Church, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7 PM.  Memorials in his honor may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
