Ronald L. Dunlap, 79, of Fairfield, died at 4:10PM on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Aperion Care in Fairfield. He had worked in the oilfield and had been a mechanic. Ronald was born on July 7, 1939 in Flat Rock, Illinois to Eddie and June (Montgomery) Dunlap. He married Ina “Kitty” (Bower) Dunlap on January 2, 1970.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Kitty Dunlap of Fairfield, two sons Ronald (Heather) Dunlap of Fairfield, and Eddie (Crissy) Dunlap of Decatur, IL, two daughters Anita (Robert) Miller and Dottie (Roger) Brimberry both of Robinson, IL, thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother Jackie (Chrissy) Dunlap of Puyallup, Washington, two sisters Roseann (Kenny) Ile of Albion, IL and Carolyn Headley of Carmi, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Donald, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, and one sister Shirley.
Per Ronald’s request, his body has been cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
