70-year-old Dian L. French of Fairfield, died at 12:33 p.m. on Thursday, February 14 at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel. She had been a homemaker most of her life. Dian was born on August 15, 1948, in Wayne County, to George and Helen (Reid) Thomas. She was married to the late Fred French.
Survivors include three sons: Larry Bullard of Arizona, Robbie (Julie) Bullard of Fairfield, and Steven (Teresa) Bullard of Florida; one daughter, Renea Ewing of Fairfield; six grandchildren: Brandon Bullard, Justin and Caitlin Bullard, Cash Bullard, and Eric and Zach Smothers; one great grandchild; one brother, Larry Lee of Oklahoma, and a special friend, Marilyn Garrison also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred French, and one daughter Michelle Smothers.
Per Dian’s request, her body was cremated. There will be a graveside service and burial at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
