Peggy S. Newman, 62 of Carmi, passed away Sunday morning March 3, 2019 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born April 26, 1956 in Ft. Wayne, IN the daughter of Cluster and Edith Moss. She married Donnie G. Newman Sr., and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2016.
Peggy had worked as a bartender and at restaurants in the area. She loved spending time and loving on her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Michelle Moss; sons, Jodon Newman, Donnie (Angel) Newman, Jr.; and Michael (Cristy Matz) Newman; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Michael Moss and Mark (Mickey) Moss. Also survived by her former daughter in law, Jerrie Baxley; She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dick, Matthew and Joe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday March 6, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Kitty Sweetin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
