74-year-old Kenneth L. McKitrick of Johnsonville, died at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 7. He had worked at the Ford garage in McLeansboro for 12 years and had also worked at North American Lighting in Flora and was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Kenneth was born in Wayne County on February 26th, 1945 to Elza and Maxine (Legg) McKitrick. He married Elaine Talbert on June 22nd, 1968.
Kenneth is survived by his wife- Elaine McKitrick of Johnsonville; son- Lonnie (Jessica) McKitrick of Geff; four Grandchildren- Trevor, Ema, Lacee, and Makena; sisters- Sandra (Claude) Mark and Sharon (Frank) Wodicker both of Fairfield; brother- Arnold (Cindy) McKitrick of Fairfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sisters- Paula Colclasure and Judith Bishop, brothers- John and James McKitrick.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12th at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Pin Oak Cemetery with military rites provided by Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW. Family requests casual dress for the service. Visitation will be Monday, March 11th from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
