Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Leonard was born February 23, 1928 in Grayville, Illinois. She was the daughter of Max Vernon Reese and Sarah Louise Tragitt Reese. She married George Daniel Leonard Jr. on April 1, 1950. He preceded her in death in June of 1982. Betty married Russell Bredenkamp on February 25, 1994.
Betty was a member of Grayville First Presbyterian Church and later attended Friedens United Church of Christ. Betty attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri and Murray State University in Murray Kentucky.
She is survived by husband Russell of Grayville; son Stephen wife Patricia; grandsons Andrew (Sarah), Jonathan (Jessica), and Matthew (Molly); great grandchildren Claira, Connor, Cohen and Ellison all of Springfield, Illinois.
A lifelong resident of Grayville, Betty was a caring person and a friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to the Grayville Senior Citizens.
