Roy Weedon, 82 of Fairfield, died at 11:01 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his home. Born in St. Francisville, IL, on August 15, 1936 to Otis and Mildred (Andrews) Weedon, he was a veteran of the US Army, a farmer, and worked in the oilfield. He was also a member of the Kings Chapel Church.
Roy is survived by his wife Barbara of Fairfield, daughter Patti (Terry) Chapman of Springfield, MO, son Rodney (Lisa) Weedon of Fairfield, 9 grandchildren- Ashley Chapman, Ben Weedon, Ryan Chapman, Casey Weedon, Vince Chapman, Joshua Hensley, Terra Wouters, Joshua Chapman, and Caleb Chapman, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad Wilbur Berg, and his brother Ron Weedon.
Funeral services for Roy Weedon will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 14 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials in his honor may be made to Kings Chapel Church.
