24-year-old Krystal R. Overbee of Fairfield, died at 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, April 18 at her home. She graduated with the FCHS Class of 2012 and the St. Louis Christian College, Class of 2017, majoring in Children’s Ministry. Krystal was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield, where she helped with the youth and in the nursery. She had been a cashier at the Fairfield Walmart since October, 2017. She had been a member of the Geff Chatters 4-H club in her younger years.
Krystal was born on April 29, 1994, in Fairfield, to Spencer and Brenda (Cisne) Overbee.
Survivors include her parents Spencer and Brenda Overbee, one brother Christopher Overbee, paternal grandparents Larry and Arminta Overbee all of Fairfield, maternal grandmother Patricia Cisne of Wayne City, and several uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Marion J. Cisne, Sr.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 22nd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Following the service, Krystal’s body will be cremated, with burial at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
