Timothy Eugene Rubenacker – Broughton

Timothy Eugene Rubenacker, 73, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his home in Broughton, Illinois.

He was born in Hamilton County, IL on August 4, 1945, the son of Oscar Joseph and Frances (Ewald) Rubenacker.  Timothy was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  He had worked as a metal polisher for the Johnson Outboard Marine Corporation and was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Dahlgren.
Timothy is survived by his son, Shane (Amy) Rubenacker of Wisconsin; daughter, Stacy Rubenacker of Zion, IL; one grandchild, Alec Rubenacker; two brothers: Sam (Judy) Rubenacker of McLeansboro and Dave (June) Rubenacker of Dahlgren; two sisters: Doris Richardson and Angela (Elmer) Butler, both of Dahlgren; special caregiver, Joyce Hamilton of Broughton; and two sister-in-laws: Pearl Rubenacker of McLeansboro and Carolyn Rubenacker of Dahlgren.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Jerry and Jack Rubenacker; and one sister, Phyllis Rapp.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Fr. Slawomir Ptak conducting the funeral service.  Visitation will be Monday, April 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.  He will be laid to rest at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Cemetery in Dahlgren with Graveside Military Honors performed by American Legion Post 106.
