Gregory Scott Short – Browns

Gregory Scott Short, 49, of Browns, IL passed from this life to the next on July 16, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 19, 1969 in St. Louis, MO to Connie (Rickard) and Sam Short. Scott worked in the shipping department at Champ for over 31 years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He played baseball during his high school years and was an excellent pitcher.

Scott is survived by his parents, Sam and Connie; three sisters: Victoria (Leon, Jr.) Raber, Elizabeth Jenkins, and Kim Short; a half-sister, Brenda (Tony) Goss; two brothers: Russell (Ayako) Short and Sam, Jr. (Amanda) Short; nieces and nephews: Bronson Locke, Stormie Locke, Derek Raber, Zack Raber, Riley Raber, Brandon Jenkins, Anthony Goss, Brendan Goss, Isabella Goss, Nathanael Short, Olivia Short, Adriel Short, Brandon Edwards, Aaron Edwards, and Kinsley Short. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lavada Collis, William Rickard, Rex and Eva Short, Hazel Short, and Nobey and John Britton.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home in Albion. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery near Ellery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Family and friends are asked to dress casually and are welcome to wear Pittsburgh Steelers apparel.
