81-year-old Eleanor Sue Wert of Bloomington, Illinois, formerly of Mt. Erie, died Saturday, August 3 at Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, Illinois.
Eleanor was born October 30, 1937 at Fairfield, Illinois to Charles Thomas and Isabelle Susan (Simpson) Moore. She married Marvin Dale Wert December 18, 1956 at Bloomington, Illinois. He preceded her in death February 25, 2016.
Eleanor was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by one daughter Regina (Edgar) Wert-Campo of Madisonville, Louisiana; five sons Gary Neil Moore of Pontiac, Illinois; Ronald Dale Wert, Rodney Dion (Amy) Wert and Rodger Darin Wert all of Bloomington, Illinois and Terry Bruce (Adolphne) Wert of Prescott Valley, Arizona; one sister Wanda Dawson of Olney, Illinois and one brother Carl (Norma) Moore of Crown Point, Indiana. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Ralph Moore, Robert Moore, Kenneth Moore, John Thomas Moore, Raymond Moore, Harold Moore and Jesse Moore; sisters Mary Slankard, Helen Clutter and Marjorie Simpson.
Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 10 at Cisne Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Richard Owens Hospice Home and will be accepted at the funeral home.
The family is hosting a reception at the Mt. Erie Ruritan Building following the graveside service.
