Alvin Dale McIntire – Wayne City

Alvin Dale McIntire, age 82, of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away at 7:31 A.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  He was born on December 20, 1936 in East Moline, Illinois, the son of Albert and Violet (Gillen) McIntire.  He married Ermadine Jeanie Buchanan on March 16, 1984, at Olive Branch Missionary Branch Church in Wayne City, Illinois and she survives him in Wayne City, Illinois.

In additional to his wife of 35 years, Mr. McIntire is survived by three sons, Mike McIntire of Casper, Wyoming, Kimit McCormick of Wayne City, Illinois and Kermit McCormick, Jr. of Wayne City, Illinois; two daughters, Gloria Larson and husband Chris of Little Rock, Arkansas and Kerma McCormick of Wayne City, Illinois and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. McIntire was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Mr. McIntire was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country from January 4, 1954 until September 18, 1962.  He was discharged from the service to his country as an Airman First Class.  He was a long distance truck driver for Kimball International for many years.  He has lived in Wayne City, Illinois for 26 years and formerly lived in Mount Vernon, Illinois, Fairfield, Illinois and East Moline, Illinois for 40 years.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Alvin Dale McIntire will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Wayne City, Illinois with Pastor Steve Hamson officiating.  A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at the Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.  It is the family’s wish that no plants or flowers be sent to them.  Cremation rites accorded by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801, who is honored to be of service to the McIntire Family.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Mr. McIntire’s family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
