David G. Taylor – Fairfield

David G. Taylor, 65, of Fairfield, died at 4:01PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. He had worked for several years at Roadmaster in Olney, IL, and was the manager and bartender at the VFW in Fairfield. He was also an avid fisherman.

David was born on September 13, 1954, in Fairfield, to William (Bill Henry) and Delma (Maricle) Taylor. On October 11, 1997, he married Sue (Ingram) Taylor, who survives.

Survivors include his wife Sue Taylor of Fairfield, one daughter Elizabeth Monroe of Carterville, IL, three grandchildren Rocky Monroe, Cash Monroe, and Buddy Monroe, two brothers Charles (Cheryl) Taylor and Tom (Gina Michels) Taylor both of Fairfield, three sisters Donna Cullins, Kathy Moats, and Janet (Kelly) McCary all of Fairfield, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Brandon, Chasity, and Alex Fry of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for David Taylor will be at 1:30PM on Wednesday, October 23rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Shrewsbury Cemetery in Mill Shoals. Visitation will be from 11:30AM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family of David Taylor and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
