Lucas R. Kuykendall – Crossville

Lucas R. “Luke” Kuykendall, 38, of Crossville, Illinois, died after a brief illness Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, Illinois. He was born July 5, 1981, in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Ricky and Peggy (McClane) Kuykendall. He was engaged to be married to Chasity Prince, and she survives.

Luke was an ironworker and worked out of the Iron Workers Local 103, in Evansville.  He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Crossville.  He enjoyed off-road riding, fishing, collecting bobble heads, teaching his children how to ride dirt bikes, tinkering and repairing things, and generally doing anything outdoors.

Survivors include his fiancé Chasity Prince; parents, Ricky and Peggy Kuykendall; grandfather Roy Kuykendall, all of Crossville; son Colton Kuykendall; step-son Logan Reynolds; daughter Rosalyne Kuykendall; step-daughter Sophia Prince; nieces and nephews Ethan Mercer, Cooper Kuykendall, Mary Jane Kuykendall, Maddie Harris.

He is preceded in death by brothers Joshua Benjamin Kuykendall, Skyler Lee Kuykendall; grandparents Evelyn Kuykendall, and Bill and Lois McClane; and uncle Fred McClane.

Visitation is 4-7 pm, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the Missionary Baptist Church in Crossville.  Funeral is 10 am, Wednesday, February 5, 202, at the Missionary Baptist Church in Crossville, with burial in Stokes Chapel Cemetery near Crossville.
